More Donation Data

Aaron Schiff has posted some more analysis of the donations by Jamendo users. So far, it doesn't look like Jamendo donations will produce a lucrative revenue stream for musicians, though there's always the "something is better than nothing" argument:

449 unique artists received at least one donation during this period. The number of donations per artist ranged from 1 to 78, with an average of 3.5 and a median of 1. Overall, 55% of artists received only one donation and 7% received more than 10...

In terms of value, the average donations received by an artist during this time were $51, and ranged from $5 to $1,294.
